美術風格唯美優雅，搭配上意境幽遠的歌曲，呈現出一種詭譎耽溺的寂寥氛圍。創作者還善用了動畫扭曲現實的魔幻特性，用巨大蝴蝶打開我們的好奇心，矗立在曠野中的別墅與男女則帶出不真實的幻境氛圍，飼養箱與蟋蟀的象徵引人入勝，讓人一步步期待接下來會發生什麼。整個情節則讓人想到卡夫卡「變形記」或梁祝「幻化成蝶」的故事，但過程更像是在描述女主角的成長蛻變。
